TREKKING EQUIPMENT CHECK LIST
BASIC GEAR
- Trekking Bags or Rucksack: 30-40 liter
- Waterproof Duffle Bag: 80-100 liter (to put your things and main equipment including sleeping bag and mat)
- Sleeping bags: 4 season (-20 Deg C is recommended) and Fleece sleeping bag liner
HEAD
- Warm hat and Sun hats
- Neck gaiter and Sunglasses
- Headlamp and extra batteries for your headlamp
HANDS
- Lightweight gloves: One pair of fleece gloves.
- Mitten or over mitten: Wind/water resistant
UPPER BODY
- Waterproof jacket and trousers
- Light to medium weight base layer top
- Non-cotton hiking shirt, Long sleeves preferable for sun protection
- Long sleeve shirts, Sleeveless or body warmer type fleece and Thermals or base layer for top & bottom (merino wool or synthetic) and medium weight down jacket.
LEGS
- Light weight trekking pant and fleece pants
- Light to medium weight base layer bottoms
- Climbing pant
- Hard shell pant
FEET
- Trekking boots - Mid-weight
- Training shoes or similar (to wear around teahouses) or sandals
- 3 pairs of outer socks and 3 pairs of liners, Cotton socks and Gaiters.
PERSONAL EQUIPMENTS
- Sunscreen, Lip screen, Water bottle, Camera and spare batteries, Toothbrush, Toothpaste and Towel
